Terms of Service & Refund Policy

1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the services provided by StudyOS ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.
2. About StudyOS
StudyOS is an AI-powered study tool for CBSE students, providing chapter-wise mind maps, key points, flashcards, and practice questions. The service is operated by Santanu Mukherjee & Anushri Anwekar and is available at studyos.co.in.
3. Premium Access
StudyOS offers a free tier and a paid Premium tier. Premium access works as follows:
- Class-specific: Premium is purchased per class (e.g. Class 10 premium covers only Class 10 chapters).
- No auto-renewal: There is no subscription or automatic renewal. You pay once and access is valid for the period shown at checkout (monthly or annual).
- One account: Premium access is tied to your Google account and is non-transferable.

4. Refund Policy
All payments made on StudyOS are final and non-refundable. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits under any circumstances, including but not limited to: accidental purchase, change of mind, unused access period, or dissatisfaction with AI-generated content.
Please review the plan details carefully before completing your payment. By proceeding with payment you confirm that you have read and accepted this no-refund policy.
5. AI-Generated Content
All study materials on StudyOS — including mind maps, key points, flashcards, and practice questions — are generated by artificial intelligence. They are intended as a study aid and supplement to your school textbook and teacher's guidance. StudyOS does not guarantee:
- 100% accuracy of all AI-generated content
- Coverage of every topic in the CBSE syllabus
- Any specific outcome in examinations
Always verify important facts against your NCERT textbook.
6. Account and Access
- You must sign in with a valid Google account to use premium features.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service, attempt to share premium access, or violate these terms.
- No refund will be issued for accounts suspended due to policy violations.
- Minors: If you are under 18 years of age, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian before making any purchase on StudyOS. By completing a purchase, you confirm that such consent has been obtained.
7. Third-Party Services
StudyOS relies on third-party services including Google (sign-in), Razorpay (payments), and Anthropic (AI content generation). These services are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies. StudyOS is not responsible for any failure, interruption, or data handling by these third parties. By using StudyOS, you acknowledge that your use of these integrated services is subject to their respective terms.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, design, and code on StudyOS is the property of Santanu Mukherjee & Anushri Anwekar. You may use the content for personal study only. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or sell any part of the service.
10. Service Availability
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. Where a paid subscription is active at the time of discontinuation, we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice and a pro-rata credit where possible. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. StudyOS, Santanu Mukherjee, and Anushri Anwekar make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- That the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- That results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
- That any defects in the Service will be corrected
Your use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.
12. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall StudyOS, Santanu Mukherjee, or Anushri Anwekar be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or any impact on examination results.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to StudyOS in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹500 — whichever is lower. These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise), even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of StudyOS after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
